Eswatini is taking a significant step towards unlocking the full potential of its young people.

Following extensive consultations with government, development partners, the private sector, civil society, and youth-led organisations, stakeholders have successfully validated the Youth Connekt Eswatini Framework; paving the way for the establishment of a national Youth Connekt chapter.

YouthConnekt Africa is a continental initiative born in Rwanda, designed to accelerate the implementation of Agenda 2063 by connecting African youth for socio-economic transformation. The initiative has since been adopted and is now implemented by 39 African Member States.

This milestone marks more than the validation of a framework; it represents a shared national commitment to connect young people to opportunities, skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

With a youthful population and immense untapped potential, Eswatini stands ready to harness its demographic dividend by investing in youth as drivers of economic growth and social transformation.

Through the Youth Connekt platform, young people will be better connected to:
✅ Skills development and entrepreneurship opportunities
✅ Innovation and digital ecosystems
✅ Leadership and civic participation pathways
✅ Financing and market access

The initiative also strengthens collaboration across Government, UNDP, UNFPA, the private sector, and development partners, ensuring that youth remain at the centre of development efforts.

As highlighted during the validation workshop, this is a collective journey one that calls for continued partnership, innovation, and commitment to creating an enabling environment where every young person can thrive.
