Hon. Adut Salva Kiir Meets Brig. Gen. Dimo Kon Nguar in Maridi

In a surprise visit to Maridi, Hon. Adut Salva Kiir, the Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs in the Office of the President, held a meeting with Brig. Gen. Dimo Kon Nguar, the Brigade Commander of Division Six.

During her visit, Hon. Adut engaged directly with the local community and members of the armed forces, seeking to better understand the pressing challenges affecting both civilians and the military on the ground. Her interaction reflected a commitment to inclusive dialogue and firsthand assessment of the situation.

The visit has been widely viewed as a strong signal of hope and a renewed commitment to peace and security in the area. This optimism stems from the assurances and pledges she extended to the people of Maridi.

As the Alur community, we express our sincere appreciation to Brig. Gen. Dimo Kon Nguar our son, elder, and a courageous commander for his continued patriotism and service to South Sudan. Notably, he previously served as the first commissioner of the now-defunct Alur County.

We also congratulate Hon. Adut Salva Kiir on this historic visit to Maridi. We look forward with anticipation to her next visit to Mapel.

In God we trust!
