Teaching is one of the most important professions in the world, and I am very glad to be a teacher at Veteran Seeds Academy-Juba , although it was not my original dream.

When I was young, I had different plans for my life. But life has a way of leading us to where we are most needed. Today, as I stand in the classrooms of VSA-Juba, I realize that God placed me here for a purpose bigger than myself.

To teach is to build a nation. Every day I walk into class, I am not just teaching Social Studies, Mathematics, or C.R. E. I am teaching values. I am teaching discipline, respect, hard work, and love for our country South Sudan.

I may not have dreamed of becoming a teacher at first, but Veteran Seeds Academy-Juba made me fall in love with the job. Under the leadership of our Managing Director, Mr. Adam Ajang Deng, our committed Headteacher, and our Director of Studies, Ustaz Khang Achiek Khang Makuei , VSA has become more than a school. It is a family. It is a place where we plant seeds — seeds of knowledge, seeds of hope, and seeds of leadership.

What makes me proud is seeing our pupils. Their discipline, their questions, their dreams. When I see a pupil who could not read now reading confidently, or a shy child now standing to speak, I know this is why I am here.

South Sudan is 15 years old. Our nation is still growing, and the future of this country lies in our classrooms today. The doctors, engineers, lawyers, nurses, pilots, and leaders of tomorrow are sitting on the benches of VSA right now.

To my fellow teachers: thank you for your sacrifice. Building this nation truly lies in our hands.
To our pupils: thank you for your respect and energy. You are the reason I come to school with joy every day, even when it was not my first dream.

I have learned that sometimes your dream finds you. And my dream found me at Veteran Seeds Academy-Juba.

I am grateful. I am proud. I am a teacher.
