Last year during the start of the sea turtle nesting season in Suriname we had the privilege to bring this beautiful project to a close. The redesign and renovation of two education centers (Galibi and Braamspunt) as part of WWF Guianas its Marine Turtle Conservation Program in Suriname. Mainly three marine turtle species visit the beach of Braamspunt and that of Galibi to nest. The focus of the education centers is to educate both locals and visitors about the many challenges that these keystone species face in order to sustain their existence. Conservation efforts are a must and should be widely supported!

Through this project we became both interested and involved to support WWF Guianas its ongoing MTCPS conservation efforts. The community of Galibi has recently also expressed its interest to continue collaboration with Night Owl Projects for social and environmental impact initiatives.

While this years nesting season has begun, we invite everyone to help protect this part of our biocultural heritage!
