Although Morgan Rogers is undoubtedly a talented player with impressive physical attributes, I simply don’t believe he is the signing Arsenal need at this moment, especially if the reported fee is expected to reach €100–130 million.

When I look at Arsenal’s current squad, I keep asking myself: who exactly does he replace? Martin Ødegaard? Eberechi Eze? Leandro Trossard? Or even Gabriel Martinelli? Honestly, I don’t see him displacing any of them. Rogers is not a natural playmaker, nor is he known for the quality of his passing or chance creation that a possession-based side like Arsenal demands. I also don’t see him comfortably operating as a No. 8 when the team needs more control in midfield, something players like Ødegaard and Eze can offer.

If we switch the discussion to the wing, I still don’t think he is the ideal fit. Arsenal need explosive wide players who constantly attack space, contribute both offensively and defensively, and have the pace and intensity to stretch opponents throughout the game. Because of his physical profile and playing style, Rogers doesn’t provide that level of dynamism.

For that reason, I don't believe signing him would significantly improve Arsenal—unless the plan is for him to replace Trossard if he leaves. If the objective is to strengthen the starting XI, I believe there are more important priorities.

If I were making the decision, I would invest that money in a natural winger with pace, flair, and the ability to make the difference in one-on-one situations. For me, Bradley Barcola would be the ideal option. Christos Tzolis of Club Brugge is another player who deserves serious consideration because of his speed, energy, and consistent attacking threat.

In the end, this is simply a football opinion that is open for debate. Morgan Rogers may well succeed if he joins Arsenal, but based on what I have seen so far, I don't believe he is the player who would provide the level of improvement Mikel Arteta is looking for.
