🌍 Strengthening Accountability in Development Finance

I am pleased to share my recent policy article on the importance of strengthening accountability mechanisms in development finance institutions, with a focus on the ongoing review of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group’s Complaints Mechanism Policy.

The article highlights how improving accessibility, transparency, and monitoring of corrective actions, along with integrating digital innovation and data-driven systems, can enhance the effectiveness of grievance mechanisms and support more responsible and inclusive development projects.

Effective accountability frameworks are essential to ensure that communities affected by development projects have meaningful opportunities to raise concerns and seek remedies.
