Christians claim to hate polygamy soo much, forgetting that the founders of their religion (Mythological Abraham and Jacob) were polygamists. Don't you read your Bible hano?

While on that topic, both monogamy and polygamy used to be practiced in all traditional Afrikan societies. It was not a must that everyone must marry more than one wife. There used to be men who strictly married one wife. And there used to be men who married more than one wife. It was A CHOICE! However, polygamy used to be done in an orderly manner. Both the wife and husband have to agree on the decision to bring in a new wife and all families have to come together to officiate the marriage of the second wife. Sometimes, in some marriages, it is the wife that used to suggest to the husband to bring in the second wife, maybe because the first wife reached Menopause or she is not physically-able anymore or maybe because she needs someone to help her with house responsibilities!
