We started trusting the process far back 2016 to 17 when president Bio asked us to trusting the process through him and obliged to that ,I lost many stuffs during 2023 elections cuz I was in the middle of the apc supporter but yet still I was able to manage and moved the dial on our east rural district elections performances and it went higher and the sacrifice I paid was too much but I was happy cuz I know I was doing the right thing cuz I was following a leader who believes in youths and theirb development strategies and up till today I still hold on that ,I'm a proud son of our party and I should be treated as such but letting me out totally is hectic and I'm calling 📞 now on everyone to help me reached my message to my able president plz 🙏 I'm going through alot since we win elections 2023 up to date I have not get a job and I'm still waiting cuz I know my party is a reward able party and I can't wait too Julius Maada Bio 2018 The New Direction At Work SL First Lady Fatima Maada Bio .

The Sierra Leone Port Authority (SLPA) has been making waves in the transportation industry under the leadership of Director General Yankuba Askia Bio and his team. Since taking over in July 2023, the SLPA has undergone a rapid transformation, with major improvements seen in various departments. In this article, we will take a closer look at the operations of the human resource department and the milestones achieved from July 2023 to September 2024.
From the very beginning, Director General Yankuba Askia Bio has made it a priority to invest in the SLPA human capital. With the understanding that the success of any organization lies in its workforce, the SLPA has taken concrete steps to strengthen and empower its employees.

* Absorption of 300 Staff from the regular casual pool to the permanent fold of the Authority.

* Take an unprecedented drive in providing in house training for 210 staff in the various departments so far.

* Oversee the payment of Le 27.6 Billion as end of service benefits to former employees of the Authority.

* Reaching the benchmark of the Parliament oversight committee

* introducing the new 2023 Staff Handbook

* Spearheaded the passing of the new port Act and transformation of the SLPA into the SLPHA

* Revamed the port Clinic with the employment of 3 young and dynamic Medical officers

* Meeting Statutory obligations in the payment of NASSIT and Accident Compensations

* 7 Staff members have benefitted from overseas medical treatment since my appointment to date.

* under my watch the Authority is providing 100 % medical treatment coverage to all permanent staff.

* Under the Authority CRS Policy, the Authority sent a team to assist in the rescue operations at the collapsed building at Kissy Yesterday

* Provided 100% Sponsorship for overseas training of 3 Employees, 1 for Malta and 2 for Sweden. Another staff will be travelling to mealta in due course.

* The SLPHA is enjoying industrial peace due to the harmonious relationship between My Management and the main Administrative building are currently undergoing a face-lift benefitting the status of the Authority.
