Elba Group Managing Director’s Message to the Team on International Workers’ Day
This International Workers’ Day, I simply want to say thank you.
Behind every engagement or project completed, every event delivered, every challenge overcome, and every vision brought to life, there is a team of hardworking people quietly carrying the weight, solving problems, making sacrifices, and showing up even when things are difficult.
Building and sustaining a business in Sierra Leone is not easy. The challenges are many — economic pressures, limited resources, changing demands, long hours, and the constant responsibility of keeping things moving forward. As a female entrepreneur, the journey comes with its own unique pressures and expectations, and I know that many of you have had to navigate those realities alongside me.
You have not only worked with me — you have stood with me.
Thank you for your patience during stressful moments, your fortitude during difficult seasons, your loyalty during uncertain times, and your commitment to the vision of The Elba Group. Thank you for the heavy lifting that often goes unseen. Thank you for the willingness to keep pushing forward.
Every contribution matters. Every role matters. Every effort matters.
I want you to know that your work is valued, your sacrifices are appreciated, and your dedication does not go unnoticed. Whatever progress we have made as an organisation has only been possible because of the people behind the scenes who continue to give their best.
Thank you for believing in our ability to build something meaningful together.
May we continue to grow, succeed, and uplift one another as a team and as family.
Happy International Workers’ Day!
