PUBLIC NOTICE ON KOIDU HOLDINGSβ RECENT STATEMENT REGARDING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
SUBJECT: CLARIFICATION AND REQUEST FOR TRANSPARENCY ON KOIDU HOLDINGSβ SCHOLARSHIP CLAIMS
Following the recent statement issued by Koidu Holdings regarding their corporate social responsibility initiatives, the Kono Students Union (KonSU), have carefully reviewed the excerpt concerning studentsβ welfare and scholarships in Kono District.
Koidu Holdings stated, and I quote:
> "We provided scholarships to hundreds of university students and covered tuition fees for all Kono District students enrolled in technical institutions, including the Kono University of Science & Technology."
As the National President of KonSU, and in line with our obligation to uphold the welfare and rights of Kono Students, I must express concern and seek clarification on this claim. According to our findings and reports from students currently enrolled at the Kono University of Science and Technology, the statement is factually inaccurate. Many students are currently paying their tuition fees independently, with no financial assistance from Koidu Holdings or any related scholarship fund linked to the company.
Therefore, in the spirit of accountability, transparency, and respect for truth, we are formally requesting the following:
1. Koidu Holdings publicly provides verifiable documentation and evidence proving the claim that they βcovered tuition fees for all Kono District students enrolledβ in the said university.
2. That such documentation be shared not only with the KonSU National Executive but also made accessible to the public in the interest of transparency.
3. That the company reviews the accuracy of its corporate communication to ensure alignment with ground realities and current beneficiaries.
We kindly urge all students and stakeholders to remain peaceful and patient as we pursue this matter through appropriate channels.
