We are excited to announce the successful completion of the 2024 Experience Sharing and Cross-Learning Visit for the Touching Minds, Raising Dignity (TMRD) project!
Funded by Agence Française de Development (AFD) and implemented by HI, this initiative aims to enhance collaboration and improve project outcomes.
From the 15th to the 26th April, HI teams from Lebanon and Togo visited Sierra Leone to share best practices and innovative approaches within the TMRD project. This visit will foster dynamic exchanges and continuous learning among support agents, project members, and partners.
By bringing together different perspectives and experiences, we aim to improve our interventions and make a greater impact in the communities we serve.

In his statement, the Country Director of HI, Alain RUSUKU mentioned “through the provision of Braille materials and audio, we are not only promoting literacy among children with visual impairments but also fostering a sense of independence and confidence that will serve them well throughout their lives.”
“I would like to thank CARE Sierra Leone for funding HI in implementing a wonderful initiative. This project is in line with inclusive campaign that the commission has been fighting for and this opportunity should not only be limited to visual impaired children but also the ones with hearing and speech impairment.” Communication and outreach manager, National Communication for person with disability.
