SIERRA LEONE LIBRARY BOARD in Collaboration with SIERRA LEONE NATIONAL MUSEUM celebrates SIERRA LEONE'S 65TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY with an Exhibition of Historical Collections (Photos, Books, Newspaper and Gazettes from 23rd - 30th April, 2026.

The Deputy Chief Librarian (Ms. Dunstanette O. Bodkin) of the SIERRA LEONE LIBRARY BOARD (SLLB), a public institution responsible for the management and promotion of libraries and access to information across Sierra Leone and the Founder and CEO (Mr. Finnex John Asibor) of SHOUT CLIMATE CHANGE AFRICA (SCCA),* a climate advocacy and environmental education organisation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of their respective institutions on Wednesday 11th February, 2026 to promote environmental literacy and climate resilience through libraries as community knowledge hubs.
The signing of the MOU took place at the Deputy Chief Librarian's office in the presence of Senior Staff members of the SLLB headquarters including the Principal Librarian, Internal Auditor, Finance Officer, Project Officer, and staff of SCCA, CEO and Founder, The Director and Admin Officer.
The purpose of the MOU is to establish a framework for collaboration between SCCA and SLLB to:
- Promote climate change education and environmental awareness
- Support youth and community engagement in environmental protection
- Enhance access to climate related information and resources
- Foster sustainable development through learning and advocacy.
The Deputy Chief Librarian led the team on a conducted tour to the various departments of the headquarters library.
