One of the major challenges we are facing in fish farming/Aquaculture in Sierra Leone is a shortage of skilled labor.

Although every year a good number of students graduate with a degree in Aquaculture and fisheries management, 80% of them have little or no hands-on skills or knowledge of how to work on a fish farm.

This is becoming very disturbing for us because we have a lot of clients from the diaspora who want to invest in fish farming in Sierra Leone but one of the main reasons holding them back is the lack of staff or people who will manage it for them well.

This is why we Agro Fish Farm SL Ltd have made it our mission to build the capacity of women and youths in innovative fish farming skills with Practical and hands-on fish farming training

At our training, we teach Practical skills and knowledge about fish farming that has been tested and proven on our farm, and with 20+ fish farmers we have worked with in Bo and outside Bo.

Our training schedule is flexible you can prefer to join our general training session that happens every two months or choose to attend a private training session where you have the liberty to choose your own date to be trained.

We have well trained qualify facilators that have a wealth of experience and some have over 2 decades of training fish farmers in Africa.

This Friday we completed our first private training session for a client's staff that he want employ on his farm. Although the level of education of the staff is low me Aminata Kandeh and staff ensure we teach him in the language he can understand.
