Animation 02 — Surfboard battery Exploded View

A product I worked on last year as Art Director and Lead Designer, focusing on CMF, graphics and overall visual direction. Hardware design, engineering and production by LIND.

Experimenting with AI-generated design, film, VO, and music.

Most of the sequences were created this summer, mainly using Midjourney 7, with a bit of Google / Nano Banano towards the end. Eleven Labs and ChatGPT were used for the voice-over and music.

What impressed me most is how good the editor in MJ7 is — and how well Nano Banana (via LmArena) maintains a consistent design across scenes.

I have also played around a little bit with Runway, but not my favourite.

Film editing was done in DaVinci Resolve.

The film itself is a small tribute to The Designers Republic, the studio that created the visual identity for the PlayStation game Wipeout in 1995. tDR were a huge inspiration to me when I first got into design in the late ’90s.
