🌱 Välkommen till en fältdag i Danmark för kunskapsutbyte om linodling!

Som en del av NordGen-arbetsgruppens linprojekt, ”Nordic Flax”, genomför vi ett fältförsök med 25 linaccessioner som representerar olika växttyper (fiber, olja och dubbelanvändning) i de nordiska länderna samt i Estland.

I samarbete med Helle Solvang från Jordens Skole, som leder projektets fältförsök i Danmark, har vi glädjen att bjuda in er till Nordic Flax Field Day den 15 juli på ByMarken, Hørsholm – Rungsted Kyst Station.

Inuiattut ullorsiornitsinni pilluaritsi, Kalaallit Nunaat!

𝗚𝗿ö𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗮𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝟮𝟭 𝗷𝘂𝗻𝗶 𝘀𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟯. På detta datum – årets längsta och ljusaste dag – samlas grönländare för att fira sin nationella identitet och sitt kulturella arv.

🐶 𝗚𝗿ö𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻 (Qimmeq qimuttoq) är en av världens äldsta hundraser och inuiternas traditionella slädhund.

🌿 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝘁 (𝘙𝘩𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘢 𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘢 𝘓.) 𝘃ä𝘅𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗽å 𝗚𝗿ö𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱. Det är en arktisk, flerårig suckulent växt som traditionellt har använts som medicinalväxt, till exempel mot huvudvärk. I södra Grönland finns rosenrot endast i områden som är otillgängliga för får, eftersom den är mycket eftertraktad av dem.

🏞️ 𝗤𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗶 𝘀ö𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗚𝗿ö𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗺ä𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗮 ö𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮 𝘀𝗸𝗼𝗴. Dalen domineras främst av glasbjörk (𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘢 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘴) och ripvide (𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘹 𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘤𝘢), som kan nå höjder på 7–8 meter. Detta står i skarp kontrast till resten av Grönland, där arktisk tundra dominerar.

𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟭 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟯. On this date – the longest and brightest day of the year – Greenlanders come together to celebrate their national identity and cultural heritage.

🐶 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗴 (Qimmeq qimuttoq) is one of the world's oldest breeds and the Inuit people's traditional sled dog.

🌿 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁 (𝘙𝘩𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘢 𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘢 𝘓.) 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱. It is an Arctic, perennial succulent plant that has traditionally been used as a medicinal herb, for example to treat headaches. In southern Greenland, roseroot can only be found in areas inaccessible to sheep, as it is highly sought after by them.

🏞️ 𝗤𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱'𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁. The valley primarily hosts downy birch (𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘢 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘴) and grey-leaf willow (𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘹 𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘤𝘢), which can reach heights of 7–8 meters. This is in stark contrast to the rest of Greenland, where Arctic tundra dominates.
