Fantastic opportunity for a Community Events Champion to join the WAVE team.

Are you passionate about inclusion and experienced in organising local community events? WAVE is seeking a Community Events Champion to help encourage and support more mixed-ability gatherings in new communities.

WAVE stands for We’re All Valued Equally, and these four words drive everything we do. We are a movement working to build genuinely inclusive mixed-ability communities: places
where people with and without learning disabilities come together as equals, building real friendships and changing how communities feel and function.
Our founding principle is With Not For. At WAVE, no one is a ‘service user’, a ‘beneficiary’, or a ‘volunteer’. Everyone, regardless of ability, participates on equal terms. When that happens, mutual understanding grows, confidence builds, and attitudes shift.

0.8 FTE 32 hours per week (worked flexibly) £32864 FTE pro-rata, 1 year fixed-term with possibility for extension. Home-based with some London meetings.
