This is for a competition that Jared Dines is running in order to feature on his upcoming SION album with metal icon Howard Jones, someone whose voice is essentially the backdrop of my angsty teenage years.

The aim is to use the instrumental provided, and come up with lyrics, a melody, and anything else you want, so this was my take on it.

I used to try and sing metal and scream in my teen years, but it wasn't for me.

Since 2020 though, I've been teaching myself to scream properly without shredding my voice. You won't find any screaming in any of my music, so I thought, f**k it, I'm throwing my hat in the ring too!
