I walk into a room and I can see it, the sofa floated off the wall, the rug sized up, the lamp moved three feet to the left.

And I say nothing. I sit on my hands. I sip my drink. I let the console table stay exactly where it is, quietly ruining my whole evening.

It’s a full-time job, having the eye and the manners at the same time.

Tag someone who mentally redecorates every room they walk into. 😂🤍🙈

5 rules to keep in mind for your space

Comment 1-5 which one do you think you are breaking 🤭?

If you have kids or pets, these are the five materials actually worth the upgrade.

Quartz for countertops. It won’t stain, won’t etch, and survives anything spilled on it, unlike marble, which needs sealing and can etch from something as simple as lemon juice.

Porcelain tile for flooring. Waterproof, scratch resistant, and built to handle daily wear far better than most natural stone or hardwood.

Performance fabric for your large furniture. Look for something like Crypton when selecting sofas and chairs, it wipes clean and comes with none of the cat-claw risk that leather does.

A zero-VOC, highly durable acrylic latex paint in an eggshell or satin finish. It’s what actually holds up to marker, crayon, and everyday messes without ruining the wall.

Leather, but only if you have dogs. Pet hair wipes right off the surface instead of embedding the way it does in fabric. If you have cats, skip it, no leather finish actually survives their claws.

Which one of these is missing from your home right now?

The design principle behind every expensive-looking room, today, it’s free.

It’s called 60-30-10 — 60% anchor, 30% support, 10% impact. It’s the difference between a room that feels expensive and one that just feels busy.

Most homes get this backwards: loud everywhere, calm nowhere.

Comment “ROOM” if you want me to tell you where your space breaks this rule.

most people think the solution to a home that doesn’t feel right is more stuff.

another rug. new cushions. a different paint color. and when that doesn’t work, they assume they just have bad taste.

if your home has never quite felt the way you imagined it could, comment DECOR and let’s change that. ⬇️

they don’t.

the spaces that feel incredible, the ones you walk into and immediately feel yourself exhale, are never an accident. they’re designed that way. intentionally. down to the things you’d never think to look at.

the light temperature. the negative space. the way materials interact with each other. the scale of every single piece relative to the room it’s in.

this is what I do. and once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
