Carbohydrates metabolism:
- Digestion and absorb action of carbohydrates.
- Glycolysis.
- Krebs cycle.
- Respiratory chain.
- Pentose phosphate pathway.
- Glycogenesis.
- Gluconeogenesis.
- Minor pathways (Fructose metabolism, Galactose metabolism, glucuronate metabolism) and their clinical significance.

Lipid metabolism:
-Lipid digestion and absorption & transport
-Fatty acid biosynthesis
-Lipolysis and fatty acid oxidation
-Ketone bodies metabolism
-Cholesterol metabolism
-Lipoprotein metabolism

Protein metabolism:
-Protein digestion and absorption, turn over and nitrogen balance
-Synthesis of amino acids and fate of carbon skeleton
-Urea biosynthesis
-Conversion of amino acids to specialized products
