Last week, our Rubavu District office had the pleasure of visiting an exhibition showcasing the remarkable efforts of three youth-led initiatives under JADF Rubavu. These included Whiz Upp Ltd, which processes juice from natural fruits, Casa Made, specializing in mixed flour for porridge, and Doxa, a producer of maize flour.
This exhibition was supported by Ecoute Moi Forum, a marketing firm born from Espace Ecoute Moi, a collaborative initiative between NAR Rubavu, OGFA (One Good Family for Africa), and Zion Temple Rubavu Parish. The forum has been instrumental in helping these young entrepreneurs market their products effectively.
All showcased products have received temporary laboratory certifications, a significant step toward earning the S-Mark. This certification will enhance their credibility, widen their market to include export opportunities, and improve customer satisfaction.
During the visit, the leader of Ecoute Moi Forum, shared exciting plans to organize the Badili_Ishe Agriculture Exhibition in July 2025. This event aims to bring together youth involved in agriculture and agro-processing, and he requested our support and guidance in its preparations.
We commend these brilliant initiatives and encourage more youth to engage in such impactful ventures. Together, we can drive innovation and empowerment in our communities.

Never Again Rwanda presents its comprehensive 2022-2024 report documenting patterns of hate speech and violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This detailed analysis examines how inflammatory rhetoric and systematic discrimination have impacted communities, particularly in eastern DRC.
The report provides extensive documentation of specific incidents, analyzes institutional and social factors contributing to hate speech, and offers concrete recommendations for addressing these challenges. It includes verified cases, photographic evidence, and detailed annexes chronicling specific incidents.
We encourage careful review of this documentation as we work toward fostering peace and preventing further escalation of ethnic-based violence in the Great Lakes Region.
