UNDP in Rwanda
In a year of global financing pressure, could development gains hold?
In Rwanda, progress continued, 36,628 jobs created, court backlogs reduced from 62% in 2023 to 49% by 2025, and $20M mobilized for climate action.
And that’s only part of the story.
The 2025 hashtag shows what delivery looked like under constraint, across governance, gender equality, innovation, and more.

Progress for women is progress for everyone.
This International Women’s Day, colleagues at United Nations Development Programme Rwanda share a united message: gender equality must move from commitment to action.
By strengthening institutions, promoting fair workplaces, and supporting women’s leadership, we continue working toward a future where every woman and girl can thrive.
Women’s rights cannot wait. Let’s accelerate action — together.
