Today, the UNRC Ozonnia Ojielo and Resident Representative of UNDP in Rwanda, Fatmata Lovetta Sesay, welcomed a delegation from the British High Commission in Rwanda led by Development Director Billy Stewart for forward-looking talks on redefining development partnerships, shifting from aid to investment, aligning solutions to real needs.

They discussed ways to turn strategy into action through innovation, smart financing, and partnerships that accelerate ’s national development journey.

Today, the Government of Rwanda, together with United Nations in Rwanda, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and The UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), briefed Member States and Cooperation Partners on the outcomes of the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2) and its relevance to Rwanda’s development journey.

The briefing highlighted a shared commitment to people-centred development, social justice, decent work and inclusion—placing people at the heart of policy, investment and transformation to accelerate sustainable, resilient and inclusive development for all in Rwanda.
