How proper sleep helps to pass exams successfully.

First, let’s look at two types of sleep:

1️⃣ REM (rapid eye movement) sleep.
It starts about 1-1,5 hours after you fall asleep. The areas of the brain that are “turned on” during this sleep help learning and memory. Therefore, everything that you have learnt during a day will be properly structured in your brain and you will remember it.

2️⃣ Non-REM sleep.
Studying for exams may be tiring for your brain. Try to let it rest periodically: 20-90 min day sleep helps to perceive new information better.

It is important to have both REM and non-REM sleeps. Moreover, sleep can maximize your exam results, if you:

⁃ sleep at least 6-8 hours a night
⁃ go to bed at the same time (better before 11 pm) each night and wake at the same time each morning.
⁃ do NOT study the night right before the exam.

👩🏼‍🎓👨🏻‍🎓 Sleep properly, get good grades and enter the universities of your dreams!
