One of the most inconsistent and contradictory legacies of the Soviet era are the mosaics. The cold and severe beauty of these socialist-futuristic... objects, well, find a better word for it, confronts with the cruelty and doldrums of totalitarian regime. Pure hope and labour ethics of these semi-forfeited mosaics shows us the many-sided tragedy of the Soviets.

Okay, so. In 1688–1693, Russian Tsar Peter the Great built his "fun flotilla" on Lake Pleshcheyevo for his own amusement, including the so-called Peter's little boat, which would be considered the forefather of the victorious Russian fleet. The Botik (small boat) museum chronicles the history of the first Russian fleet and keeps one of the original model boats. We'll see and maybe even touch it's board!
