We continue to responsibly perform all our Russian and international contractual obligations with respect to the supply of energy to our many valued customers as well as implementing joint projects under our partnerships. These commitments are important elements to ensure and maintain global energy security in a sustainable and responsible manner.
We strongly support every diplomatic effort at restoring peace and look forward to the prompt resolution of this current tragic situation. We also extend our sincere sympathy to all those affected by these events.

NOVATEK’s 2021 Reserve Replacement Reached 107%.

PAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK” and/or the “Company”) today announced that independent petroleum engineers, DeGolyer & MacNaughton, have completed their comprehensive reserve appraisal of the Company’s hydrocarbon reserves as of 31 December 2021.
NOVATEK hosted a Contractors and Suppliers Forum dedicated to Expanding Cooperation in Capital Construction at its LNG Construction Center in Belokamenka, Murmansk Region. The Forum aims to foster sharing experience and broadening opportunities for Russian equipment manufacturers and contractors to ensure successful implementation of large-scale LNG projects in the Arctic.

2 September as part of today’s Eastern Economic Forum, in the presence of the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Nikolai Shulginov and the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Hiroshi Kajiyama, PAO NOVATEK and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on ammonia, hydrogen and carbon capture, utilization and storage.
The Parties intend to mutually support projects in producing and marketing of ammonia and hydrogen, as well as implementing technologies for carbon capture and storage in Russia and Japan.

NOVATEK Creates a Subsidiary to Develop Domestic LNG Fuel Market
Moscow, 15 July 2021. The Board of Directors of PAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK” and/or the “Company”) resolved to create a subsidiary called NOVATEK – LNG Fuel, which will construct small-scale LNG plants, facilitate LNG wholesale markets and develop a retail network for LNG as a motor fuel, as well as provide LNG as part of the autonomous gasification program in the Russian domestic market.
NOVATEK has been actively developing the production and sales of LNG as a motor fuel. In 2020, the Company launched a small-scale LNG plant in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk Region with a capacity of 40 thousand tons per annum. Presently, the Company owns 12 LNG fueling stations in Russia and plans to further expand the production and distribution networks for clean-burning fuels for transport.
"We are creating a dedicated subsidiary to develop the domestic LNG fuel market as part of our commercial marketing strategy," noted Leonid Mikhelson, NOVATEK’s Chairman of the Management Board. “The use of LNG as a motor fuel can reduce carbon emissions compared to diesel or other petrol products, as well as significantly reduce harmful particles emitted into the atmosphere, which contributes to the decarbonization of the transport industry and the protection of the environment."
