For glazing work on yachts, our customer wanted to have as slimline a device as possible which he could use for moving glass panes weighing 600 kg on the gangway. The device also had to be able to assist with the glazing work. His notion was that the device should not measure more than 600 mm in width. Actually, the glass pane was only to be placed at an angle in the lower part of the window, then tilted into the window frame by hand. Of course, it ought to be possible to rotate the glass pane, and it would also be helpful to be able to perform a lifting movement with the glass pane.

This notion gave rise to glass-assembly-carriage 7011-GMW. Its width did not exceed 800 mm. Which made it wider than wished for, but the device is capable of tilting the glass pane to one side by about 270 mm and to do so at a maximum height of about 1700 mm, referenced to the centrepoint. The device can perform a lifting movement of about 700 mm with its mast and its angle of inclination can be adjusted. These three movements are performed by a hydraulic cylinder, operated at the press of a button. The desired rotational movement is performed manually.
