Lisa Marie Presley and I felt a kinship towards each other. My maternal ancestors were also Presleys, so we would often call each other “Cuz.” While Henry Louis Gates Jr. confirmed we weren’t actually related, we always liked to think so. Throughout the years we had many conversations—on camera, off camera and even on hikes— and she was always 100% genuine.
