OFFICIAL NOTE FOR MALAYSIAN STUDENTS IN RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The Embassy will take necessary follow-up actions to the relevant russian authorities.

COVID SPECIFIC
Those exhibiting any symptoms, or require medical assistance, please do call the ambulance immediately at 103 or a number can be found at the back of your insurance policy . Please inform your respective MSA’s and the embassy!
Treatment of Covid-19 and symptoms are free of Charge for status of Student in Russian Federation.

Places under quarantine/self-isolation order , kindly follow instructions of all Authorities and Administration!

What should we anticipate from the Embassy or Student Council if our area is declared a red zone?
To follow instructions from local authorities and Universities, notify your respective Student Council and the Embassy should you require any assistance. (Halal food, Medical Advice, Baking issues, etc)

If you are out with a required and legal purpose, do not be alarmed if you get stopped by the authorities.
Do not succumb to giving bribes. Note the Officers names, place and time of occurrence and inform the embassy for them to make an official complaint to the Russian Authorities.

CLASSES / EXAMINATION
Classes are in mode of “Distance Learning” till further notice. Follow your universities Orders (ПРИКАЗ) !
Leaving Russian Federation without ending the semester may lead to actions from the university such as expulsion! Please consult your MSO’s or Dean's office!

REPATRIATION / EVACUATION
Emergency evacuations only take place during extreme situations such as hostel evictions, the Healthcare System failing to accommodate the population with Basic Necessities and etc.
A Standard Operating Procedure has been put to place if this ever arises.
Keep in mind that you may risk bringing a new strain back to Malaysia (those found guilty as such may face jail time of up to 5 years)!
Orders of Evacuations are only given by Headquarters back in Malaysia!!

Please take note that chartered flights are not free and may cost more than commercial flights.
The Embassy will only assist in permission to enter the Russian Airspace!

To board a flight back, note that many check-ups and tests are needed to fulfill the requirements such as COVD-19 test, Fit-To-Fly Certificates and so on.

From the 15th of April 2020, digital passes are required for travels in road transportations and may be obtained from mos.ru for MOSCOW RESIDENCE! Please ask your respective MSO Head for assistance if you have doubts!
