The brain’s reward system: Gambling triggers the release of dopamine, similar to substance use. The brain learns to seek that intense “feel-good” state, becoming increasingly less sensitive to the small pleasures of everyday life.

The “near-miss” effect: Studies show that moments when a player comes very close to winning are processed by the brain as victories, stimulating the urge to continue playing immediately.

Coping mechanism (Escapism): For many, gambling represents a way to escape stress, anxiety, or depression. Games become a temporary “refuge” from real-life problems.

The illusion of control: Players tend to believe they can influence the outcome through certain strategies or rituals, ignoring the fact that the results are purely random.

Un colectiv de artiști de teatru, dans și new media și-au propus să transforme experiența digitală într-una materială.

„This is how Meta really feels” reprezintă un video eseu infografic. Analizate prin metode de machine learning, datele colectate prin casca EEG în instalația anterioara („Camera Meta”), au generat tipare comportamentale și au stat la baza creării unei vizualizări artistice sub forma unui conținut video digital.

Această instalație oferă o perspectivă asupra modului în care arta influențează mintea și emoțiile umane și crește gradul de sensibilizare cu privire la conexiunile complexe dintre minte, corp și mediul înconjurător, evidențiind totodată importanța conștientizării și gestionării stărilor noastre interne în interacțiunile cu lumea din jur.

Prin îmbinarea artei cu resurse științifice și tehnologii, artiștii investighează modul în care reacționăm emoțional și
comportamental în contextul experienței META.

The Hearts Ball organized by Rotaract T.E.A.M. Baia Mare is an event that fits the atmosphere of love, giving, friendship, and connection that comes with Valentine's Day and Sweethearts - the celebration that marks the beginning of spring.

💗 In this rotaractian year, through the 8th edition of the Hearts Ball, they were able to purchase two personalized systems of therapy through virtual reality for the Children's Mental Health Center, in the framework of the Emergency County Hospital "Dr. Constantin Opris" Baia Mare, Romania.
