THAI and Turkish Airlines sign Joint Business Agreement
On 1 June 2025, Mr. Chai Eamsiri, CEO of Thai Airways, and Prof. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines, signed a strategic Joint Business Agreement (JBA) at the 81st IATA AGM in New Delhi, India.

This partnership builds upon the success of THAI’s daily Bangkok–Istanbul flights (launched in December 2023) and strengthens the connectivity between the two Star Alliance members, offering seamless travel between Thailand, Türkiye, and destinations worldwide.

The codeshare flights, under THAI’s Network Airline strategy, are expected to begin in the Winter 2025–2026 schedule, subject to regulatory approvals, with plans to expand to additional routes in the future.
