A quick thought as I was reading psalms 111 today. Verse 10 says "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever."
Notice the fear of the Lord is the beginning but to have understanding is dependent on putting his commandments in practice. In other words Living a Godly life not just knowing the rules and saying them. I hope we are not Christians in word only but in practice. Many people will say they want to understand things and want God's blessings but they aren't willing to accept what He says as truth. May we all take a look at our life with an honest look and choose to live how Christ wants. God bless

One of the best times back in the states is still getting to spend time with my daughters and grandkids individually. It still is a blessing to me that they want to. They are all different and like to do different things, because God made us all different. None of us are perfect but I still love them and am blessed to call them my Daughters and Grandchildren that God gave us. May we remember to be thankful for the blessings God gave us in our lives and not focus on the negative things going on. God bless.

Was reading psalms 69 today and this thought came to mind when I read verses 12 & 13
12 They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

When others are speaking against us, there is not a need to get upset and belligerent. What we need to do is go to the Lord. In His timing He will take care of it. I can rest in Him knowing that He knows the truth and has it all under control. This doesn't mean He wants what is happening to happen but it doesn't take Him by surprise and He does know what is best. May we be patient and draw closer to Him in our time of troubles then we will find that peace that passes all understanding and will be a light to others in the midst of a storm. God bless

There is something that those who live in another culture other than where you grew up should realize. What we see and percieve many times is determined by the culture in which we grew up. Whether it is correct or not is not the issue but it is what is percieved. When some people look at this yard they see beautiful yellow and purple flowers in a sea of green. When an American looks at the yard many times they will think why isn't that yard mowed. Neither is right or wrong but comes from culture. This is just a quick thought about dealing with culture, but for me it makes me think about what is truth and where is it. Simple answer is in the scripture. God bless and have a good day

Was reading in Acts 10 today and there are many things in this chapter and God has many reasons why He did things the way He did, but one thought stuck out this morning. Why didn't the Angel that appeared to Cornelius just tell him about Jesus Christ instead of sending for Peter? One of the reason is to show us God's program for today. We, born again christians, are to be witnesses and be telling others about Jesus Christ. We are ambassadors for Christ. The question for us is what type of Ambassador are we, a good one or a bad one.
