We are hiring: Marine Superintendent — Chemical Tanker Fleet

We operate a modern chemical tanker fleet to the highest safety and industry standards, and we're looking for a hands-on Marine Superintendent to join our Marine Department in Amsterdam or Constanta. Reporting to the Marine Director, you'll own the marine readiness of your assigned vessels — driving vetting performance, safety culture, and compliance around the clock.
This is a role for someone who thrives on detail, moves fast when a vessel needs them, and takes pride in zero observations.
What you'll do
• Own daily marine performance for your vessels — schedules, noon reports, weather routing, and heavy-weather follow-up
• Prepare ships for oil-major vetting, TMSA, Port State and Flag State inspections, with the goal of zero observations
• Be a first point of contact during operational stoppages and emergencies, including outside office hours
• Attend shipboard vettings, conduct onboard audits and inspections, and close out findings with the fleet
• Review cargo, passage and tank-cleaning plans, risk assessments and enclosed-space permits; guide Masters on sensitive and dangerous cargoes
• Investigate incidents and near misses to root cause, and drive preventive action
• Interview, coach and motivate seagoing crew, and champion our HSSE goal of zero accidents
• Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team
What you bring
• Minimum 2 years of Chief Mate sailing experience on chemical tankers
• At least 1 year ashore as a Marine or Vetting Superintendent
• Strong commitment to a demanding workload, the ability to perform under pressure, and 24/7 availability
• Fluent English for our multinational working environment

We are hiring: Technical Superintendent — Tanker Fleet

Amsterdam / Constanta | Shore-based | Full-time

Keep our vessels running, our costs in check, and our crews supported.

We operate a modern tanker fleet to the highest technical and safety standards, and we're looking for a hands-on Technical Superintendent to join our Technical Department in Amsterdam or Constanta. Reporting to the Technical Director, you'll be the first call when a vessel has a technical issue — guiding the onboard team, driving maintenance and class compliance, and keeping OPEX under control.
This is a role for a former Chief Engineer who knows machinery cold, makes sharp decisions under pressure, and takes ownership of a vessel's technical health.
What you'll do
• Be the point of contact for assigned vessels on all technical matters, day or night
• Plan, monitor and follow up PMS and non-PMS maintenance, surveys, and class/flag certification
• Inspect hull, machinery and electrical equipment; analyse inspection reports and assign maintenance instructions
• Prepare and manage repair and dry-docking specifications, evaluate quotations on quality-vs-cost, and schedule work to avoid delays
• Control vessel OPEX, review and approve purchase orders, and monitor oil quality, stores and equipment
• Work closely with the Marine Department to optimise vessel performance, consumption and energy efficiency
• Promote the SMS and safety culture, carry out onboard audits, and support incident and near-miss investigations
• Monitor, evaluate, train and brief seagoing staff, and join the Emergency Response Team when needed
What you bring
• At least 2 years as Chief Engineer on Chemical vessels GT >10,000
• At least 1 year ashore as a Technical Superintendent
• The ability to perform under pressure with 24/7 availability
• Good English for our multinational working environment
