RO/EN: 🪵,,A fost odată un râu” de Diane Setterfield, într-un aer gotic, rece și folcloristic spune povestea a unei fetițe misteroase care a apărut de nicăieri la hanul Lebăda, cărată de un bărbat nemaivăzut de nimeni până atunci. Ea avea în jur de 4 ani, și acțiunea se întâmplă în anul 1887, în seara solstițiului de iarnă. Fetița a fost moartă pentru câteva momente, iar apoi s-a trezit, fapt care i-a șocat pe locatarii din Radcot, situat lângă râul Tamisa.

🪵Prin mai multe perspective, apa, folosită ca motiv principal, curge prin poveste, la fel și acțiunea care este cursivă și demonstrează că râul a atins viața fiecăruia într-o oarecare măsură.

EN/RO: 🪵"Once upon a river" by Diane Setterfield, in a gothic, cold and folkloric air, tells the story of a mysterious little girl who appeared out of nowhere at the Lebăda inn, carried by a man never seen by anyone before. She was about 4 years old, and the action takes place in 1887, on the evening of the winter solstice. The little girl was dead for a few moments, and then she woke up, which shocked the residents of Radcot, located near the river Thames.

🪵From several perspectives, the water, used as the main motif, flows through the story, as well as the action that is cursive and proves that the river has touched everyone's life to some extent.

RO/EN: 🏢Allegiant este finalul seriei care a marcat viețiile multora dintre noi fiind foarte în vogă în perioada în care și Hunger Games era o serie populară. Cartea vine cu o oarecare dezamăgire fiind o schimbare totală a percepției și modalității de citire.

🏢Nararea se face pentru prima dată din prisma ambelor personaje lucru care poate derută unii cititori. Lăsând în urmă acest fapt, scriitoarea aduce un sfârșit șocant și neașteptat seriei și protagoniștilor. Povestea lui Tris și Four vine cu o încheiere care din punctul meu de vedere nu mulți au fi putut să o ghicească.

EN/RO: 🏢Allegiant is the end of the series that marked the lives of many of us being very popular during the period when Hungers Games was also a read series. The book comes with a certain disappointment being a total change of perception and reading.

🏢The narration is done for the first time through the prism of both characters, which may confuse some readers. Leaving this fact behind, the writer brings a shocking and unexpected end to the series and the protagonists. The story of Tris and Four comes with a conclusion that from my point of view not many could have guessed.

🚘,,Un bărbat pe nume Ove” a fost una dintre lecturile mele preferate, stilul umoristic al autorului de a scrie se împletește cu durerea pe care am simțit-o când am terminat cartea. Dacă într-un singur roman, Backman reușește să abordeze teme precum iubirea, familia, prietenia și pierderea, atunci abia aștept să citesc și celelalte cărți ale sale.

🚘"A man called Ove" was one of my favorite readings, the author's humorous style of writing intertwines with the pain I felt when I finished the book. If in one novel, Backman manages to address topics such as love, family, friendship and loss, then I can't wait to read his other books.
