EPVP - Eastern Partnership Volunteering Program 5.2

👨🏻‍⚕Yesterday, 5 of our COSI volunteers had an amazing opportunity to partake in a first aid training, thanks to our special guest and friend Laurentiu! Coming from the Nurse Medical Expert Organisation, he gave them a very thorough training of basic First Aid and also the importance of knowing CPR which could really help save one's life someday. The training wasn't only interesting but also hands on, thanks to the mannequin they could all practise on.

🆘Always remember these steps;
-Dial 112
-Check if the area is safe
-Open the victim's airway
-Check for breathing
-30 Chest Compression's (while humming Staying Alive)
-2 Rescue Breaths
-And Repeat the last 2 steps until person wakes up/emergency services arrive.

🫄...Did you know for a pregnant woman, you must position her on her left side on the ground while doing CPR?

🧰Laurenti also taught them about Internal Bleedings, Tourniquets, how to stay calm in stressful situations and much more!

➕At the end all the volunteers received a First Aid Training certificate and were very pleased with their afternoon. Thank you Nurse Medical Expert for your time and professionalism during the training and we hope we will be able to keep someone Staying Alive!
