Geostud a participat la EcoDaLLi Project Legacy Event organizat la Ruse, unde factorii de decizie regionali s-au reunit pentru a contura viitorul regiunii Dunării și a Mării Negre și pentru a aborda provocările implementării obiectivelor Mission Ocean and Waters. În calitate de partener în proiectul DAnube WETlands RESToration , inițiativă din cadrul Misiunii UE „Restore our Ocean and Waters” (pilonul Dunăre și Marea Neagră), Geostud a organizat și susținut o sesiune dedicată recomandărilor de politici publice pentru decidenții din România și Bulgaria de-a lungul sectorului inferior al Dunării.

Sesiunea a pus un accent pe consolidarea cooperării transfrontaliere româno-bulgare, crearea unui cadru de sprijin pentru inovare și transfer tehnologic în Economia Albastră, precum și pe rolul comunităților locale în elaborarea politicilor și implementarea soluțiilor.

Prin DaWetRest, continuăm să conectăm știința, politicile publice, practica și comunitățile locale pentru a construi o regiune mai rezilientă și mai sustenabilă. Dialogul va continua în viitorul apropiat prin organizarea unui nou eveniment dedicat recomandărilor de guvernanță în Delta Dunării și regiunea Dunării de Jos, protejând astfel unul dintre cele mai valoroase ecosisteme ale Europei.

Geostud attended the EcoDaLLi Project Legacy Event in Ruse, where regional stakeholders gathered to shape the future of the Danube and Black Sea region and address the challenges of implementing Mission Ocean and Waters objectives. As a partner in the DaWetRest Project, a key initiative under the EU Mission "Restore our Ocean and Waters" Danube River & Black Sea Lighthouse, Geostud organized and delivered a dedicated session focused on policy recommendations for Romanian and Bulgarian decision-makers along the Lower Danube River.

The session strongly emphasized strengthening the Romania–Bulgaria cross-border cooperation framework, creating a supportive environment for innovation and technology transfer in the Blue Economy, and highlighting the role of local stakeholders in shaping policy recommendations and supporting solution implementation.

Through DaWetRest, we continue connecting science, policy, practice, and local communities to build a more resilient and sustainable Danube and Black Sea region. To sustain this momentum, a dedicated policy recommendations event focused on governance in the Danube Delta and Lower Danube region will be organized in the near future, continuing the dialogue around one of Europe’s most valuable ecosystems.

Zona costieră a Mării Negre | Cel mai frumos „office view” de astăzi!

Monitorizările de mediu ne surprind mereu cu perspective unice din teren. Astăzi vă aducem imagini superbe cu o herghelie de cabaline, surprinsă de colegii noștri pe malul Mării Negre. Dincolo de spectacolul naturii, prezența acestor exemplare în zona litorală și a Deltei Dunării ne reamintește cât de fragil și valoros este ecosistemul local.

Prin studiile de biodiversitate, evaluările de impact și monitorizările constante pe care le realizăm în teren, ne asigurăm de un lucru esențial: proiectele de dezvoltare și infrastructură pot și trebuie să coexiste sustenabil cu măsurile de conservare a habitatelor și a faunei locale.

The Black Sea coastline | Today’s most beautiful “office view”!

Environmental monitoring always offers us unique perspectives from the field.
Today, we are sharing stunning images of a herd of horses captured by our colleagues on the shores of the Black Sea. Beyond the beauty of the moment, the presence of these animals in the coastal area and the Danube Delta is a reminder of how fragile and valuable the local ecosystem truly is.

Through biodiversity studies, impact assessments, and continuous field monitoring activities, we ensure one essential aspect: development and infrastructure projects can — and must — coexist sustainably with habitat and local wildlife conservation measures.

Special thanks to our colleagues from the Environment Department, Field Division, for documenting these spectacular moments!

Continuăm investigațiile geotehnice de teren pentru Lotul 1 al proiectului de extindere a rețelei de metrou Magistrala 4, lucrări esențiale pentru proiectarea și execuția viitoarei infrastructuri subterane din municipiul București.

Echipele noastre se află în prezent pe amplasamentele Stației Chirigiu și pe interstația Uranus – George Rozorea, unde execută foraje geotehnice de adâncime, realizate pentru caracterizarea geotehnică a terenului de fundare.

Având în vedere complexitatea lucrărilor subterane și condițiile geotehnice specifice mediului urban din București, proiectul se încadrează în Categoria Geotehnică 3, conform normativelor în vigoare, ceea ce impune realizarea unor investigații geotehnice avansate și a unor încercări speciale de teren precum încercarea cu presiometrul Menard (PMT).

Astfel Geostud, în forajele propuse pentru stații realizează teste presiometrice din 5.00m în 5.00m pentru determinarea modulului Menard și a presiunii limită pentru orizonturile litologice interceptate, parametri esențiali în evaluarea comportării terenului la solicitările induse de execuția tunelurilor și structurilor subterane.

Rezultatele obținute din investigațiile in situ, coroborate cu determinările de laborator, vor fundamenta raportul de investigare a terenului și studiul geotehnic, contribuind la proiectarea în condiții de siguranță a structurilor aferente Magistralei 4 și la asigurarea cerințelor de rezistență și stabilitate ale masivului de pământ.

We continue the geotechnical field investigations for Lot 1 of the Metro Line 4 extension project, essential works supporting the design and construction of the future underground infrastructure in Bucharest.

Our teams are currently operating at the Chirigiu Station site and along the Uranus – George Rozorea interstation section, where deep geotechnical boreholes are being carried out for the geotechnical characterization of the foundation ground.

Considering the complexity of the underground works and the specific geotechnical conditions of the urban environment in Bucharest, the project falls within Geotechnical Category 3, according to the applicable regulations, requiring advanced geotechnical investigations and specialized in situ testing, including the Menard Pressuremeter Test (PMT).

Within the proposed boreholes for the stations, Geostud is performing pressuremeter tests at 5.00 m intervals in order to determine the Menard modulus and limit pressure for the intercepted lithological horizons, essential parameters for evaluating ground behavior under the stresses induced by the ex*****on of tunnels and underground structures.

The results obtained from the in situ investigations, correlated with laboratory testing, will support the ground investigation report and the geotechnical study, contributing to the safe design of the structures associated with Metro Line 4 and ensuring the resistance and stability requirements of the soil mass.
