Pacientul din imagini s-a prezentat cu o eventratie voluminoasă apărută pe o cicatrice mediană mai veche (laparotomie), având un defect de perete abdominal de 15x25 cm.

Restaurarea anatomiei și redarea funcționalității peretelui abdominal au fost realizate printr-o operație robotică complexa, prin care arhitectura peretelui abdominal a fost reconstruită în totalitate. Repoziționarea corectă a mușchilor și montarea plasei de întărire în planul preperitoneal, au dus la un rezultat postoperator foarte bun.
