In eCommerce, poor product data was always a problem, but one that companies could work around. With AI, that changes completely, because if your data isn’t there or isn’t usable, your product simply won’t show up, it’s no longer friction, it’s invisibility.

What convinced us was the nature of the problem. In VC, you always ask whether you’re looking at a “vitamin” or something critical. This is clearly the latter.

What Stripe did for payments, Naratix is doing for product data, turning something complex, fragmented and manual into infrastructure.

And the team is one of the reasons we leaned in. Deep experience in eCommerce, strong technical understanding, and the ability to anticipate where the market is going, not just where it is today.

If they execute, this can become a global standard. That’s the kind of potential we’re looking for.

Today, the industry faces a structural problem: product data is fragmented, inconsistent, and impossible to scale manually. As a result, entire catalogs remain invisible to search, recommendations, and AI systems.

Naratix introduces a new model. A platform that transforms raw product data into structured, standardized, and enriched datasets at scale.

The timing is right. Commerce is moving toward AI-assisted discovery. And without clean, structured data, none of it works.

We believe product data infrastructure will become a foundational layer of modern commerce, and Naratix is well positioned to define it.
