As we approach the BISMUN 2024 conference, we are thrilled to unveil the esteemed Deputy Secretary General and get to know her before meeting her in person.

“Despoina Fronimopoulou is 21 years old, her hometown is Kilkis and she studies Law at the Democritus University of Thrace. She is excited to assist in this year’s BISMUN as Deputy Secretary General. Since 2017 she has been actively participating in various UN simulations and rhetoric (debating) competitions in Greek and English. In 2019 she was selected to participate in the team representing Greece in an international diplomacy program in Germany ( GLOBAL IN FELLOWSHIP ). She is also a member of the EU Youth Volunteer Team in the country and served as President of the Security Council in a UN student simulation (TMUN 2019). In addition, she has served as Chair of the UN Extraordinary General Assembly for the simulation “Thracing on MIC: Model International Crises” and was Speakers’ Coach of the Organizing Team of TEDxUniversityofMacedonia 2022. At the same time, she occasionally works in the media as a copywriter/articulator in Greek and foreign press.”
