On 6 October 1973, at the age of 42, Ted Simon set off from London on a 500cc Triumph Tiger motorcycle on what became a four-year solo journey around the world, covering 64,000 miles through 45 countries.

His resulting book of that journey, Jupiter's Travels, has inspired generations of bikers to explore the globe on two wheels.

And we're delighted to welcoming Ted and his Triumph Tiger to the ABR Festival this summer (24-26 June, Ragley Hall Estate, Warwickshire) where he'll be giving talks about his travels throughout the weekend.
