This month’s design piece, a crisp blue and white polka dot cotton skirt, came to life around friendship, art, and the small joys that connect us, and was inspired by my dear customer Andreea, who wore it during her visit to the David Hockney exhibition in Paris earlier this August. The full skirt carries the same sense of play and wonder as Hockney’s vibrant canvases, and is a piece to move in, to explore in, and to live in, whether you are visiting a museum, walking through a garden, or simply enjoying a late summer evening.

The design features side pockets, a fixed waistline and a concealed side zip, and is unlined. It is available in limited edition and has a base price for three possible length ranges (up to 40 cm, between 40 and 75 cm, and over 75 cm). Each piece is made individually in my atelier so that the garments fit perfectly and no returns or touch-up are necessary.

On a personal note, Hockney also marked my first trip abroad with my young son, when we visited his exhibition in Brussels, Belgium, almost 4 years ago. Seeing Andreea wear one of my designs in front of his work felt like a circle quietly closing, and art tying us together unknowingly.

These items are part of a series of monthly keepsakes, handcrafted pieces in a very limited edition that hold a personal story, made to be treasured. The idea of these campaigns began last year, evolving from close collaborations with my customers who longed for unique design pieces. Each month, I may invite one of my dearest customers to wear and photograph the keepsake, making each edition even more personal and connected to those who inspire my work. During her Cinestezia Symphonic national-wide tour, Leyah stopped in Petroșani and marked the occasion with a truly breathtaking evening of pop symphonic music. For this special moment, the singer wore the BABYLON NOIR strapless evening gown from the latest Lucia Roşca collection, featuring an integrated corset with a soft sweetheart neckline, flowing into a dramatic full-length skirt detailed with bold vertical pleats for a striking sculptural effect.

We are honored to have been part of this meaningful occasion, celebrating Leyah’s artistry and commitment to beautiful, authentic performance.

An evening dedicated to celebrating Romanian theatre.

This past Monday, Ana-Maria Onisei greeted guests arriving at the 33rd edition of the UNITER Awards Gala, conducting interviews for the National Television broadcast, and graced the red carpet herself in a striking Lucia Roşca gown from a previous collection. Bringing both elegance and warmth to the spotlight, Ana-Maria wore the KISS OF LIFE dress, designed from flowing pink viscose that falls to the floor in soft cascades. Tied over one shoulder with delicate ribbons, its sculptural ease revealed bare shoulders and fluid lines with every movement. The look is available online at www.luciarosca.ro.
