🔥 On Saturday, May 30, 2026, delegates at the Minnesota Republican Party state convention in Duluth observed a brief moment of silence for Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of the murder of George Floyd.

At the start of the morning session, a delegate named Christopher Rocco introduced a spontaneous motion on the convention floor to suspend the rules and hold a moment of reflection for Chauvin.

Rocco publicly argued that Chauvin was a victim of injustice and did not receive a fair trial due to the political pressure surrounding the 2020 civil unrest.
