Signature stone became a story for space identity.

At Marmorosch, the project began with a simple but essential question: how do you introduce a contemporary hotel program into a historic building without diluting its identity?

The first step was to carefully read the existing architecture. We studied the structure, the proportions of the spaces, and the details that define the character of the building. Before proposing any intervention, we tried to understand what needed to be preserved, what could be adapted, and where change would be necessary for the building to accommodate a new life as a hotel.

This early phase was less about designing and more about observing, documenting, and testing possibilities. The future spatial organization and circulation were explored gradually, always starting from the logic of the existing structure. At the same time, the first site works focused on revealing and stabilizing the building, preparing it for the transformations to come.

For us, Marmorosch began as an exercise in attention and respect, a process of understanding the building before transforming it.

We have some lovely news to share: our colleague Elena Dragu will be part of the jury for TopHotel Conference Awards 2026.

Elena has been involved in some of our most thoughtful hospitality projects, always bringing clarity, care, and a strong sense of what makes a space truly work. We know she’ll bring the same balance and integrity to the judging process.

Being invited to be part of this jury is a beautiful recognition of her expertise, and we couldn’t be prouder.
