80% of EU citizens say that AI must be regulated for safety.

Privacy, misinformation and ethical issues or misuse of generative AI tools represent areas of concern and therefore barriers to the use of AI for many Europeans.

In particular, 87% of Europeans believe that AI-generated content, deepfakes and disinformation contribute to threatening our democracies.
