Don’t let intellectual arrogance cloud your path. Stay humble and open to seeking guidance from a guru. In fact, humility is the first quality a seeker should possess. Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita emphasizes the importance of humility(amanitvam) as the foremost quality of a disciple. So, be humble and accept the need for a guru. Don’t expect the guru to come to you; instead, approach the guru with respect, serve, and please him. As the Mundaka Upanishad says, approach the teacher, serve him, and when he is pleased, request him to impart wisdom. That’s the essence of seeking guidance from a guru.
