𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐞 ✨

On May 19th, in Vienna, JRS Romania participated in the final event of the “𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐄𝐝𝟒𝐍𝐏𝐎𝐬 – 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 – 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐏𝐎𝐬” 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 — an initiative dedicated to improving access to financial education for wonen in vulnerable situations.

💛 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬

Before the war, little Vladyslav lived with his parents in the town of Fastiv, Kyiv region. Later, the family spent some time living in Albania, where his father was working. But due to family circumstances, they were forced to return to Ukraine.

By the winter of 2026, it became clear that staying there was no longer safe. Constant power and heating outages, the threat of shelling, and ongoing anxiety forced the family to urgently search for a safer place to live. That is how they arrived in Bucharest in January 2026.

Vladyslav will turn only 4 years old this June.

When he was just 3 months old, doctors diagnosed him with hydrocephalus. Since then, the family’s life has become a continuous effort to support his development: medical treatment, sensory integration therapy, group activities, and regular work with specialists. Every new step required enormous parental strength, patience, and daily dedication.

After moving to Romania, one of the greatest challenges for Iryna was finding specialists who could continue supporting Vladyslav in his native language.

This is how the family discovered JRS Romania through social media.

Today, Vladyslav attends sessions with a psychologist, a speech therapist, and group activities with children his age. And this support truly matters. Thanks to the continuous work of specialists and the immense love and dedication of his parents, his condition has improved and is no longer progressing. But regular therapy remains essential to prevent developmental regression and speech delays.

Today, many families raising children with special educational or developmental needs face similar challenges. The need for accessible psychological, speech, and developmental support is enormous. Unfortunately, there are now very few free programs available for such children, and families are often left alone with the responsibility of searching for specialists and covering the long-term costs of therapy themselves.

At JRS Romania, we believe that caring for children with special needs should not rest solely on the shoulders of parents. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, communicate, and feel accepted — regardless of circumstances, language barriers, or financial difficulties.
