Why are nuclear power plants no longer being built in the US

42 years ago, at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, there was an accident. One of the reactors melted, triggering the largest nuclear accident in the history of the United States.

The event was catalyzed by the fact that the reactor control panel was not easily understood by the operators, and this led to the implementation of a series of actions that worsened the situation. As a result of the incident, no more nuclear power plants were built in the United States.

We know that your application cannot cause an accident to affect an area within a radius of 20 km, but every poorly facilitated interaction between the customer and your brand can detonate in a huge accident.

UXGeeX puts the neurosciences at the service of the User Experience in order to gain a complex understanding not only of what decisions people make, but especially why they make these decisions and what are the mechanisms underlying them.

Usability is about the user’s ease of use while Desirability is about how pretty your users find your product.

Great design should be both usable and desirable.
In the words of the great Joe Sparano “Good Design is obvious. Great design is Transparent.”

What do you think? Should aesthetics prevail, should usability or both?
