Coming to a yoga class is not just coming for a stretch.
It’s taking a moment for yourself, puting aside all the chatter of the mind, observing your own psysical, mental and emotional body, in whatever shape it is.
It’s sitting with your own breath, it’s noticing every bit of muscle sometimes struggling, it’s observing the wandering thoughts that don’t let you unwind or the bubbling emotions when you awaken your senses in an area of your body that you maybe forgot.
Sometimes yoga is not pleasant, and not easy, especially for the mind. But it’s practice. The practice of acceptance of whatever it is you are feeling. And that, with time, can turn into a softer form of resilience.
