Some kitchens are built around function.
This one is built around matter.
At Salone del Mobile Milano 2026, presented Basalt as part of its Rare Matter collection: a retro-brutalist story where material is not just a finish, but the starting point of the entire project.
And you can feel that immediately.
Metal-clad fronts.
A stainless steel countertop combined with volcanic rock.
A compact, sculptural island with clean geometries.
A vertical door opening system developed by Visionnaire in collaboration with Salice.
Light, reflection, texture and engineering, all working together in one object.
Visionnaire is not a regular furniture brand. Its roots go back to Bologna, 1959, through IPE, while the Visionnaire brand has been building its identity since 2004 around Italian craftsmanship, bespoke interiors, material experimentation and high-end residential, hospitality, yachting and aviation projects.
So this kitchen is not just a kitchen.
It is a technical object.
A design statement.
A piece of architecture.
Almost a sculpture you can cook in.
The price?
Just a small detail: 300,000 EUR.
As someone who works with bespoke furniture, I find this fascinating.
Not because every client needs a 300k kitchen.
But because projects like this push the industry forward. They show what is possible when design, engineering, rare materials, hardware and craftsmanship are treated with the same level of obsession.
Luxury furniture is not only about price.
It is about intention.
And this kitchen has a lot of it.
