Cunoaștem frumusețea ca fiind frumusețe,
Pentru că există urâțenia.
Cunoaștem binele ca fiind bine,
Pentru că există ceea ce nu e atât de bun.

Ființa și neființa se nasc una din cealaltă.
Greul și ușorul se desăvârșesc reciproc.
Lungul și scurtul se definesc unul prin celălalt.
Înaltul și josul se sprijină unul pe altul.
Sunetul și tăcerea se armonizează.
Fața și spatele se urmează neîncetat.

Toate lucrurile poartă în ele yin-ul, dar îmbrățișează yang-ul.
Își amestecă suflurile vieții pentru a naște armonia.

Așa cm spune Lao Tzu citat mai sus, forțele yin și yang sunt prezente pretutindeni și în toate lucrurile.
Este necesar să înțelegem jocul dintre aceste două forțe pentru a putea accesa puterea naturii. Iar atunci cand intelegem ciclurile naturale, vom trai adevarata armonie.
