BENCH RIDERS VS SRI JAFFNA XI

MATCH NO.01 - BR were asked to bat first. We didn't bat really well only 3 players managed to get a 2 digits score. We only managed to get 101 in 10 overs. While chasing, their opening batsman Lathu played really well and stole the game from us. Disappointed but with hopes.

MATCH NO. 02 - after a huge loss in the first match, we were asked to bat first again and we grabbed the chances and made right the wrongs from the first match. Nassar yet again scored a well deserved half century followed by NIFRAS important 42 runs in the lower order. We set a target of 191 for Sri JAFFNA to chase. We showed discipline in our bowling unit, restricted them for 134 and we won by 68 runs. AASHIK, RUJAY bowled well in our card.

1-1 vs Sri JAFFNA, hopefully we will play the next matches to make it 2-0.

BENCH RIDERS VS DOHA GENSIS

MATCH NO.01 - BR decided to bat first yet again Muneer and Aashiq showed their classes. We set a target of 129 at the end of 10 overs. We believed in our bowling unit and yes we did it again. Muneer and Nousath bowled otherwise to keep their RRR flying high. Boys really played well and made us win the match by 23 runs

MATCH NO.02 - DG were batting first. Suresh Kumar and Dilakshan really Gave us some headache in the middle. They batted brilliantly throughout the innings. They set a target of 165 by the end of 10 overs. While we were chasing, we had a bad light issue. But we didn't give up. Yes we lost 3 wickets by the 2nd over. But we tried till the End. Nassar and Jafran fought till the end. But couldn't reach that factor. We managed to get 109 by the end of the 10th over. Not an Ideal way to start the week. We learn more and we will deliver. C u next week.

1-1 vs Devon CC.
MATCH No 01 - BR won the toss and elected to bat first. Decent opening pair but couldn't take it deep. But our wall Muneer and Samson had a great partnership for the 4th wicket gave us a good total of 179 at the end of 10 overs. While we are defending the total. We bowled really well specially Muneer and Samson shared 4 wickets between them while others bowled economically. Devon CC managed to get 156 by the end of 10 overs where we won the game by 23 runs.

Match No.02 - once again BR batted first but couldn't repeat the energy shown in the first match. Nassar 18 ball half century gave us something to bowl for. While Fielding, we couldn't execute things well. We should appreciate the way Devon CC batted throughout the innings. They scored the target with 1 over to spare.

Lots of positives along with some areas to be discussed. It's an on and off day. Overall happy faces in both Sides. C u next week.

The two interesting matches ended with 1-1 against GULF SUPER KINGS CC
MATCH 1 : we decided to bat first against GSK, yet again flying start from Mohamed Asam scoring 65 off 25 gave us better start and Aashik smashed 49 off 21 including 5 sixes in row in an over. At the end of 10th over we managed to put 153 on board.
By return, GSK played well and stole the game from us. We bravely moved to the second game by taking the positives

MATCH 2 : GSK bat first, A good start from their batsman. They ended 167 on the card by the end of 10th over. In return, not a good start we expected. We were 12-4 in one stage, but boys haven't lost the confidence. A very well displayed by Nassar just falling sort of 10 runs for the well deserved century. A quick fireworks from sarjeel brought us the game needed 16 in the last over. We were not much tensed because our Jamaican RUJAY is on stickers end. He has done it once before against Deccan charges as well. Jamaican RUJAY smashed a six in extra cover in the last ball where we needed three runs to win in the last ball.
And then what!! CELEBRATION BEGINS!! ❤️❤️

Happy Friday with a win! Yes another victory added to our list by beating Team X by 32 runs.
Defending small targets like this always gives us confidence and our bowling strength. A good all round performance by Rifkhan and economical bowling figures by Asam Mohamed gave us a thrilling victory over Team X.

Well played boys and many more victories to follow.

Yet another comfortable win for us beating WILD WARRIORS CC by 5 wickets.

Bench Riders Cricket Club were asked to field first after Wild warriors win in the toss, and they posted a huge target 245/5 in 16 overs, in their batting line up, opening batsman Mifras scored a well deserved century in 45 balls.
In the second innings, we started slowly but kept the required run rate under our belt. After a little cameo from Mohamed Nifras, Mohammed Aasik came to the party and he didn't settle any bowlers, smashing 10 sixes and 4 fours in his important 81 runs. Late in the order sarjeel Hamza's yet another little cameo brought us the things simple, after an unfortunate run out of Aashik and Sarjeel, Captain Mohamed Jafran stayed not out till the end and brought us the victory.

A very well.composed and team Performance put us on the top. Very well played boys! Keep doing. 🏏 ✌️

Interesting 2 matches vs CP Night Riders. Its a team performance really puts on top. Great contribution from Aashiq and Samson Yet again. Defending small targets like this boots our confidence and capability. Well done boys!

Some Crazy fireworks by Mohamed Nifras and Samson. A record opening partnership and heights team total batting first registered in the table of Bench Riders.

In Other hand, Rujay Ahamed pulled off an incredible chasing in our first match, and won it for us for 9 balles to spare. Bench Riders needed 59 off last 4 overs with one wicket left. Then the Gasman(Rujay) smashed 9 sixes and done it for us.
A day with incredible two matches. Everyone played their part, bowlers really done excellent job to keep their required run rate in high. Well played boys !
